Photography

I am a photojournalist and visual storyteller. I love capturing dynamic and peak action moments. I enjoy contextual storytelling that complements my writing, especially in action sports and social justice-centered stories.

My work spans from breaking news to longform editorial features, and I’ve contributed to publications including High Country News, Climbing Magazine, and The New York Times. My photographic journey began in the darkroom, where I worked as a TA at Cal Poly Humboldt and managed the university’s analog lab. I’m fluent in 35mm, medium format, and large format film, and continue to shoot on film alongside digital work using Olympus and Sony Alpha mirrorless systems. Whether on assignment or shooting personal projects, I’m drawn to scenes that reveal emotion, movement, and connection—with people and with place.
